Pallets n' Stuff

This wood is a collection of the things that I won't throw away, because I know there will be a use for them some day.  I think we all maintain our own batch like this in one way or another.

After our house was built, I spent many years adding my own touches, and had lots of leftover material to show for it.  I tended to overbuy so that I did not have to go back to the store, and like many guys - I don't like to return stuff.  I might need it later.

This lot also contains many pallets and pallet leftovers.  I used many of these leftovers to build our coffee tables, parts of my woodshop work tables and many other purposes.

This lot also contains weathered deck boards from decks that are replaced in Outer Banks of NC. We have used many of these boards for making my workshop tables, and they were the main material used for my daughters wedding arch and candle table for her marriage on Jennette's Pier in Nags Head, NC.

Using pallets provides a wide variety of character and colors in the materials.  Often this is not seen until you clean them up with a power washer.  As we use up the materials, we search Nextdoor, Craigslist, and Facebook Marketplace for other free materials to rescue.

2020 additions included a batch from Mason Jar brewery, a small stack from a local neighborhood, a few pallets from O2 fitness clubs in Raleigh.
